1978 Beetle

Having met her husband & enjoying sunny drives with him throughout the lower mainland in the late '70's to 1990's are the motivation behind the restoration of this 1978 Beetle convertible. These excellent memories have left her wanting the best for the car which she owned since it was only a few months old.

She wanted it done right the first time so after studying which shop should be responsible in its restoration, Jellybean Hotrods was chosen. We are pleased to do our part in bringing this classic back to the streets again and letting her re-live the memories of days gone by.

On all our builds we try to get an understanding of who the customer is & what the reason is for the build, mix that with the usage of the vehicle upon completion so we can design the build to best suit the customer & their intended wishes.

This owner wanted it factory perfect and not have to worry about it again so we sourced as many replacement parts as were available. We have excellent fabricators on staff so the balance of the parts were hand made in our shop. Base/clear VW white was used to give a factory appearance and undercoating is used on all other surfaces where weather can take its toll.

We trust this convertible will help relive memories as she drives off into the sunset.
